Tip of the week
The Financial Services Authority created a new rule from the 1st January 2011 within the APER Sourcebook (Statements of Principle and Code of Practice for Approved Persons). In that any approved person performing a significant influence function should take reasonable steps to satisfy themselves, on reasonable grounds, that each area of the business for which they are responsible that they have in place appropriate policies and procedures for reviewing the competence, knowledge, skills and performance of each individual member of staff.
